<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable moving picture reproducing terminal equipped with a power saving function capable of reducing the power consumption required for video decoding in the moving picture reproducing terminal having a moving picture reproducing function. <P>SOLUTION: To the portable moving picture reproducing terminal 101 including: a storage section 104; a control section 105; a video decode section 108; a text decode section 110; a display section 109; and a power supply section 102 and for reproducing a stream including coded video information and text information, a video decode on/off function 107 for turning on/off performance of the video decoding by the video decode section 108 is attached, and in the case of reproducing the stream, the text decode section 110 decodes the text information but the video decode section 108 decodes no video information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
