<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue motor drive even if abnormality occurs in a rotation detection function of a brushless motor although the brushless motor itself is operable. <P>SOLUTION: If abnormality occurs in the detection function of a rotor position while the brushless motor is rotating, the direction of an electromagnetic coil current is controlled so as to be switched in order in a predetermined fixed pattern and, while the brushless motor is being stopped, a driving signal is switched gradually from a low frequency to a high frequency to start the brushless motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
