PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for fusion-cutting prestressing steel in a ground anchor, which enable the prestressing steel to be simply, easily and surely fusion-cut in the ground anchor in a short period of time. SOLUTION: At least one heat-resistant electrode body is arranged on the side surface of a tendon which is composed of the prestressing steel provided in a tensioned state between an underground load-bearing body and an anchor head on the earth's surface, and the tendon is fusion-cut by applying a high current between the tendon and the electrode body.
