PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated particle absorbing ultraviolet rays in a wide range. SOLUTION: This coated particle 1 is prepared by laminating a nano sheet layer 15 composed of one-molecule-layered nano sheets on a template particle 11 with a diameter of 0.01μm-10μm. The nano sheet is made up of Ti<SB>2-x</SB>MeO<SB>4</SB>(Me is one or more kinds selected from Co, Cu, Zn, and Fe; and (x) is 0.4 or 0.8). The coated particle may be the one prepared by laminating the nano sheet layer composed of the one-molecule-layered nano sheets on the periphery of a hollow portion with a diameter of 0.01-10μm.
