<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell which enables obtaining high photoelectric conversion efficiency, irrespective of the size of the incident angle with respect to the solar battery. <P>SOLUTION: This solar cell 1 comprises a first conductivity-type semiconductor substrate 5 having a plurality of pillar-shaped convex portions 3 on the front surface. On a side surface portion 3a and the top surface portion 3b of the pillar-shaped convex portion 3 and on each surface region 5a between the pillar-shaped convex portions 3 adjacent to each other, a second conductivity-type semiconductor layer is formed.In this solar battery 1, incident light can have a plurality of chances of being absorbed by the solar battery 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
