PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save energy. SOLUTION: In attracting operation of an object, rising time until an exciting current to a coil 9 reaches a predetermined value is measured. When the measured value is smaller than a specified value, since determination is made that a quantity of the attracted object is less than a specified quantity, the exciting current to the coil 9 when carrying the object is reduced to a required value thereafter.
