METHOD AND DEVICE FOR AUTOMATICALLY SWITCHING IMAGES IN IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A method and a device for automatically switching images in an image processing apparatus are provided to automatically switch desired video by inputting pulses reporting operation of the corresponding video source and detecting the pulses from inputted video source signal. CONSTITUTION: A CPU(500) generates a signal reporting that a VTR system is in a play mode or a mode similar to the play mode. A preamplifier(205) preamplifies video signals reproduced from a video tape. A synchronization separator(201) separates a vertical synchronous signal from output of the preamplifier. A delay timer(202) delays the separated vertical synchronous signal to be placed in a predetermined blanking section. A pulse generator(203) generates pulses according to the signal reporting that video is being reproduced. An amplifier(206) amplifies the output video signals. A synthesizer(207) inserts the output pulses into output of the amplifier for generating a pulse signal reporting that a video equipment generating the corresponding video source is operating.
