<p>A decorative member for use as a decorative panel for elevator, etc.; and a process for producing the same. In particular, a decorative member comprising substrate (11) of an inorganic material; coating layer (12) containing an organosilane, superimposed on a surface of the substrate; thermoplastic resin layer (13) fusion bonded onto the coating layer by vacuum press bonding; and ink receiving layer (15) superimposed on the thermoplastic resin layer so that the ink receiving layer on its side provided with colored pattern (16) with a colorant is brought into contact with the thermoplastic resin layer without any adhesive and bonded to the substrate through fusion bonding of the thermoplastic resin layer per se by vacuum press bonding. There is further provided a process for producing the same, comprising the step of fabricating patterned sheet (18) including ink receiving layer (15) provided with colored pattern (16) with a colorant; the step of superimposing a thermoplastic resin layer and the patterned sheet on substrate (11) of an inorganic material so that the thermoplastic resin layer joins a surface of the substrate and also joins, without the use of an adhesive, the colored pattern side of the patterned sheet; and the step of carrying out a vacuum press bonding so as to effect fusion bonding of the thermoplastic resin layer to thereby accomplish bonding of the pattern sheet to the substrate.</p> |
