PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an acetylenic polymer having a high-molecular weight obtained by using an industrially inexpensive raw material and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The method for producing the acetylenic polymer, which polymerizes a propargyl alcohol derivative in the presence of an organometallic complex, and the acetylenic polymer obtained by the producing method are provided. The organometallic complex is preferably a complex composed of a group 7-10 element. The propargyl alcohol derivative is preferably an ester compound, an ether compound or a urethane compound. The resultant acetylenic polymer has≥5,600 mass average molecular weight, and preferably 1-30 degree of dispersion. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
