MILLING TOOL AND ITS INSPECTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a milling tool of stably high chipping resistance and abrasion resistance and also high reliability to a service lifetime in which a tool with a short service lifetime such as to be chipped off earlier is not mixed and a honing part is formed to a cutting edge, and also to provide its inspection method. SOLUTION: The milling tool (A) has the following constitution. Crossing ridge lines of a rake face 3 and a flank 4 form the cutting edge 8 provided with a main cutting edge 6 and an auxiliary cutting edge 7 across a corner cutting edge 5. The honing part 10 is formed to the cutting edge 8. A ratio a (hr/hf) of the honing width hrin the rake face 3 direction at the position 12 of 3 mm from the auxiliary cutting edge 7 and the honing width hfin the flank 4 direction at the 3 mm position 12 is set to 1.2≤a≤2.
