摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat resistant magnesium alloy casting which is excellent in mechanical properties and creep properties, and also improved in castability and creep strength. SOLUTION: The heat resistant magnesium alloy casting has a composition containing 1.5 to 6% Al, 0.3 to 3% Ca, 0.1 to 1% Mn, 0.21 to 1% Sr and 0.1 to 1% Ge, if required, comprising 0.1 to 1% Si, 0.2 to 1% Zn and 1 to 100 ppm Be, and, if required, further comprising 0.1 to 3% rare earth elements, and the balance Mg with inevitable impurities, and in which, if required, the contents of Fe, Ni, Co and Cu in the inevitable impurities are regulated to≤50 ppm, respectively. The invention has satisfactory castability, and can be obtained as a casting with a desired shape by die cast molding or the like without causing casting cracks. The casting has excellent high temperature creep strength, can be used, e.g., for automobile parts concerned with engines, and has excellent corrosion resistance as well. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
