CHARGING DEVICE OF ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve driveability of a vehicle at the time of starting and in hill climbing travel. SOLUTION: This charging device of an engine 1 is actuated to operate by an accelerator pedal 13, and assisted to start by a motor-driven starter 7. The charging device is provided on an engine 1 mounted on a golf cart, and after the engine 1 is started, the starter 7 is functioned as a power generator to charge a battery 10. The charging device includes various sensors for detecting the operating conditions of the engine 1. The charging device includes a controller 40 for controlling charging from the stater 7 to the battery 10. The controller 40 stops charging from the starter 7 to the battery 10 when the engine 1 is determined to be high-load operation on the basis of the operating conditions detected by the various sensors 30 to 35.
