<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To progress a work for allotting an instruction from an arbitrary remote controller and the function of an electronic apparatus operable with that instruction by an intuitively comprehensible method by utilizing the display function of the electronic apparatus, e.g. a television receiver. <P>SOLUTION: A list J3 of the functions (e.g. on/off of power supply, up/down of volume, switching of channel) of its own apparatus operable with a remote controller is displayed on the screen of a television receiver. A user selects a desired function by moving a cursor CS in the list J3 and sends a code to be learnt from an arbitrary remote controller 3. Consequently, that code is displayed in the receiving code display column J2. When the set key of remote controller of its own apparatus is pushed, a receiving code displayed in the receiving code display column J2 is copied into the space of the list J3 where the current cursor CS is placed and correspondence of the receiving code and the function is written on the storage table. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
