PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making kimono by which cutting or sewing time in making kimono is reduced and facility in making kimono is improved. SOLUTION: The method for making kimono comprises the following process: making a pattern of an upper-half body fabric part 1 having such a shape as to be obtained by integrally developing respective parts forming at least the upper-half body part of the kimono, and a lower-half body fabric part 2 having such a shape as to be obtained by integrally developing respective parts forming at least the lower-half body part; cutting the upper-half body fabric part 1 and the lower-half body fabric part 2; and sewing them.
