<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter which supplies a single phase 200V power without increasing the power receiving capacity of a commercial single phase 100V power supply, or can effectively utilize night power to continue supplying power even during a power failure. <P>SOLUTION: The power converter includes a capacitor circuit (18) with a first and a second capacitors (C1, C2) connected in series, and with a step-up/down DC/DC converter (3) between the circuit and a storage battery (2). The converter also includes a normal and reverse converter (5) which can perform an action for charging a capacitor circuit by stepping up and rectifying the commercial single phase 100V passed through a second filter circuit (7) and an action for generating a single phase 100V on the output side of the second filter circuit by reversely rectifying the DC current of the capacitor circuit. The converter furthermore includes a reverse converter (4) which generates a single phase 100V of the same phase as the commercial single phase 100V on the output side of the fist filter circuit by reversely rectifying the power of the capacitor circuit. The output side of the first filter circuit and the output side of the second filter circuit are connected in series, externally supplying the single phase 200V adding the two single phase 100V. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
