<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and portable two-stage plant cultivation container so designed as to enable supply of a moderate amount of water suitable for a plant body or weather condition without necessity of frequent water supply, free from anxiety of root rotten of the plant body so as to promote growth of the plant body. <P>SOLUTION: The two-stage plant cultivation container comprises an upper-stage container to be charged with culture soil and a lower-stage container for storing liquid fertilizer: wherein the upper-state container is structured so that at least ≥70 % of its lower surface is composed of a root-proof permeable sheet, and the lower-stage container is provided, at the inner lower part, with a liquid storing part for maintain the liquid fertilizer at a predetermined water level; an air layer exists between the bottom surface of the upper-stage container and the lower part of the lower-stage container; a water-absorbing body having water absorbing function due to a capillary phenomenon is provided so as to come in contact to the liquid storing part of the lower-stage container and the root-proof permeable sheet of the upper-stage container; the total of the area where the water permeable body and the root-proof permeable sheet contact to each other is 10-90% of the root-proof permeable sheet area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
