摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless access system for performing control at high speed to change over a modulation system between a base station and each subscriber station without deteriorating frame efficiency. SOLUTION: A wireless frame to be used for bidirectional communication between the base station and a plurality of the subscriber stations includes a plurality of outgoing/incoming data areas which respectively correspond to a plurality of the modulation systems. Each data area is constituted by a plurality of time slots to be assigned to each subscriber station. The base station sets in an outgoing header area outgoing/incoming data area designation information which indicates positions corresponding to the respective modulation systems of the outgoing/incoming data areas and incoming data assignment designation information which indicates correspondence relation between each time slot and each subscriber station in the incoming data areas. Each subscriber station changes over the modulation system, based on outgoing/incoming data area designation information corresponding to each modulation system, receives the outgoing data addressed to each subscriber station, and transmits the incoming data by the designation time slot through the use of the incoming data assignment designation information.
