PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double lock mechanism for a lock, which is reasonably arranged in a lock case for locking a dead bolt and a latch. SOLUTION: The double lock mechanism for the lock comprises a top joint 8 to be rotated in a locking/unlocking direction with the driving force of a driving source 6 or man-caused operating force, a dead locking/unlocking means 10 for turning a dead stopper 9 in the locking/unlocking direction when the top joint is driven, and a latch locking/unlocking means 13 having a latch stopper 14 and a latch stopper spring 15 for locking/unlocking the latch 12 in linkage with the dead bolt 11 when moved forward/backward, all of which are arranged in the lock case 5.
