<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection determining mechanism low in manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: In this determining mechanism, a pair of sockets in a connector CN of a cable CB are made determining sockets conductive to each other, and a pin connector S of a control board is provided with a pair of determining pins Pa, Pb corresponding to the determining sockets. Whether the cable CB is connected to the control board can thereby be determined by determining the conductive state of the determining pins Pa, Pb. In the determining mechanism, two terminals not used for transmitting and receiving information and electric power, out of terminals of the connector CN and pin connector S, are used as the determining sockets and determining pins Pa, Pb.
