<p>A machine system consisting of a plurality of components U1, U2, U3, ..., Up (P is a positive integer), and comprising an automatic switching unit Zi for switching between a machine unit MU comprising a common component group (hereinafter, referred to a common component group U) consisting of i)components Vi (i is an integer satisfying a relation l<=i<=p) having a function equivalent to that of at least one component Ui and ii) all components other than the components Ui and Vi and the component Ui, and a machine unit MV consisting of the common component group U and the components Vi, appropriately and alternately, and a failure controller Ci for stopping operation of the automatic switching unit Zi upon failure of any one of the machine units MU or Mv and stopping the failed machine unit and operating the other machine unit so that the function is not stopped but the operation is continued even upon failure of the component Ui or Vi. Maintenance cost can thereby be reduced significantly.</p> |
