ANGULAR VELOCITY SENSOR

An angular velocity sensor for accurately calculating an angular velocity by taking the mass balance of the vibrator into consideration. The angular velocity sensor comprises a tuning-fork vibrator (23) which has a pair of arm sections (22) at the shaft section (21) and is made of a piezoelectric element and a control circuit part (24) for driving the vibrator (23) and detecting the angular velocity given to the vibrator (23). The control circuit part (24) has a correction circuit section (35) which generates a correction signal for removing a signal component of a sense signal (29) detected erroneously as if an angular velocity occurred in the vibrator (23) even though no angular velocity occurs in the vibrator (23) from the signal components of the sense signal (29) as a noise signal component.
