发明名称 Masonry constructing apparatus
摘要 1,092,165. Moulding building elements. H.W. McCLARNEY. Jan. 19, 1966 [Jan. 19, 1965], No. 2510/66. Heading B5A. Masonry structures, each comprising a plurality of individual units bonded together, are made by locating the units vertically in the desired arrangement upon a set of supporting members, clamping the units in this arrangement, removing the supporting members, and finally filling the spaces between the units with a bonding material, preferably cementitious. In a first embodiment (see Fig. 2) units C are supported in the desired arrangement against a fixed wall 27 by strips 21, themselves supported upon a plurality of fingers B. The fingers are releasably attached to a plate E, reciprocable by means of piston-rods 35, and pass through apertures in the wall 27. In operation, after the units have been arranged upon strip C, a second wall 59 is clamped thereagainst by suitable means (see Fig. 1-B, not shown), the strip 21 then being removed and the fingers B being withdrawn to the position shown in Fig. 4 (not shown) in which they seal the apertures in wall 27. Side walls (see also Fig. 1-B) are then closed and the bonding material is poured between the units, the structure thus formed being removed, after release of the clamping means, upon a roller supported plate 75. Units of various standard thicknesses may be accommodated by mounting the fingers in the appropriate set of a plurality of coded sets of slots carried in the plate E (see Fig. 1-C, not shown), the wall 27 being changed to take the new arrangement of fingers. In a second embodiment, see Fig. 11, the units are initially supported upon a plurality of plate-like members B passing through vertically elongated rectangular apertures in the fixed wall 139. The members are slotted into a box A, which, after the units have been arranged, is withdrawn over a platform 119 by piston-rods 147 to a position in which the members are completely withdrawn from the apertures in wall 139 (see Fig. 11). Platform 119 is then lowered to bring members 165 carried by a plate 167 into line with said apertures after which the plate is forwarded by pistons HC-5A and HC-5B to insert said members into said apertures to seal them, the bonding then being performed as before. Various standard size units may be accommodated by locating members B in a series of graded slots in box A. In this case, however, there is no need to change wall 139 since the apertures therein will accommodate the change in position of members B. In a third embodiment, see Fig. 14, the members B are slotted into boxes A which are fixedly mounted upon a vertically reciprocating platform 377. The wall 321 is moved over rollers to a position in which the members B protrude therethrough (see Fig. 14) and the units are then arranged on the members after which they are clamped as before. Cam plates 331, which co-operate with cam-plates 325 fixed to wall 321, are then raised by piston-rods 338 so that wall 321 and the bonded structure are moved outwards so that the members B are effectively withdrawn. Platform 377, is then lowered, the lowering causing plates 316 carrying suitable sealing members to fall under gravity over secondary cam surfaces 375, carried by cam plates 325, and to move to the left as viewed thus inserting said sealing members into the apertures. The bonding is then performed as before. Units of various sizes are again accommodated by locating the members in graded slots in boxes A, changing of wall 321 being unnecessary.
