<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate speed oscillation incident to repetitive on/off of operation due to a reverse voltage at the time of service interruption, by stopping repetitive on/off of operation. <P>SOLUTION: The controller of a permanent magnet synchronous motor comprises a service interruption detecting means of deciding service interruption when the voltage of a DC voltage source is not higher than a predetermined level V1, and a means of detecting or estimating the rotational speed of the permanent magnet synchronous motor. If the absolute value of the output from the speed detecting means is lower than a predetermined value N1, when the service interruption detecting means is deciding service interruption, operation of a voltage type PWM inverter is stopped; and if the absolute value of the output from the speed detecting means is not lower than the predetermined value N1, when the service interruption detecting means is deciding service interruption, the torque of the permanent magnet synchronous motor is regulated, such that the voltage of the DC voltage source falls between a predetermined level V2 and the V1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
