PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic type damping device easily manufacturable and installable by reducing a size even when large spring constant and attenuation coefficient are required and increasing workability in adjusting the balance of a magnetic attraction force, a spring constant, and an attenuation coefficient. SOLUTION: A movable part 2 having a movable part magnet 7 is formed in a pyramid shape or a cylindrical shape, and movably supported by a linear support part formed of a linear rail 16 and a linear bearing 17. The movable part magnet 7 is fitted to the peripheral side-face of the movable part 2, and a fixed part magnet 8 is mounted on a fixed part 1 oppositely to the movable part magnet.
