PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving quality of lawn grass including application of a composition containing effective amount of phthalocyanine and effective amount of phosphorous acid or its salt, or a phosphorous acid monoalkyl ester or its salt, and preferably no metal ethylene biscarbamate contact bactericide or other bactericides. SOLUTION: An effective amount of the phthalocyanine-containing composition is applied to the lawn grass in the essential absence of phosphorus acid, phosphorous acid monoalkyl ester or their salt.
