<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guarantee an excellent buffer action between an ignition coil and an ignition plug in a rod-shaped ignition coil for an ignition device having a substantially the same cylindrical casing wall as the coil body, where a contact member is disposed on a high tension side to accommodate a connection pin of the ignition plug and the contact member in a form that has an elastic buffer member is improved, and further to obtain a configuration technically facilitating to manufacture the ignition coil. <P>SOLUTION: The elastic buffer member is disposed at a cutout in the contact member such that the member is directly contacted with the connection pin of the ignition plug, and the buffer member must be at least partially contacted with the circumferential side of the contact member or the connection pin of the ignition plug. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
