<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a high-purity 2,3,6,7,10,11-hexahydroxytriphenylene while diminishing wastes to a minimum. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing 2,3,6,7,10,11-hexahydroxytriphenylene comprises the step(a) of reacting a partially protected catechol compound of general formula(1)( wherein, R is an alkyl, cycloalkyl, acyl, alkylsulfonyl, arylsulfonyl, alkoxycarbonyl, carbamoyl or sulfamoyl ) with an oxidizing agent to prepare a 2,3,6,7,10,11-hexasubstituted triphenylene compound and the step(b) of eliminating the protecting groups on the 2,3,6,7,10,11-hexasubstituted triphenylene compound thus prepared. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
