PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein the amount of electricity used is increased by continuous operation due to a lowering of cooling capacity caused by the temperature rise of a fin part because an outdoor unit of an air conditioner is exposed to direct sunlight in summer. SOLUTION: A heat insulating mat formed of a flame-proof sheet, glass wool and aluminum foil is mounted to the outdoor unit to shield sunlight heat to thereby improve cooling efficiency. The heat insulating mat can be mounted to every type of outdoor unit and easily mounted to a bolt of equipment by a stainless wire or the like using an eyelet, or can also be connected.
