PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining device of a guide rail highly precisely performing finishing work even to the guide rail. SOLUTION: This machining device of the guide rail 1 finishingly grinding the both sides of the ground guide rail 1 is disposed with machining heads 5, each of which retains a drive roll 7 driven by a motor 8, a contact roll 6 opposed to the drive roll 7, and a grinding belt 4 wound around the drive roll 7 and the contact roll 6, endlessly turning and grinding the guide rail 1 moved by a carrying means, opposed to each other in the both sides of the guide rail 1, and is provided with a control means 12 detecting a load current value acting on the motor 8 and controlling the position of the machining heads 5. The control means 12 detects the loading current value in grinding the guide rail 1, moves the machining heads 5 so that the loading current value becomes a set value, and fixedly retains the grinding quantity of the grinding belt 4 to the guide rail 1.
