PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling supporting device for estimating whether or not an operator has recognized a traveling state without measuring the activity conditions of the brain of the operator under traveling to perform traveling support based on the recognizing state of the operator. SOLUTION: The traveling supporting device of a vehicle is characterized by having an intracerebral activity condition storage device for preliminarily storing a relationship between the activity conditions of a brain and the vehicle operation of an operator under traveling, a traveling state monitoring means for monitoring the state of a vehicle under traveling, a vehicle operation estimating means for estimating an operation to be performed by a vehicle on the basis of the conditions of a vehicle monitored by the traveling condition monitoring means, a vehicle operation monitoring means for monitoring the vehicle operation of the operator, an intercerebral activity condition estimating means referring to the intercerebral activity condition storage device on the basis of the operation to be performed by the vehicle estimated by the vehicle operation estimating means and the vehicle operation monitored by the vehicle operation monitoring means, and for estimating the activity conditions of the brain, a traveling supporting means for issuing warning to the operator, or for controlling the vehicle on the basis of the intercerebral activity conditions estimated by the intercerebral activity condition estimating means.
