<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of polarizing film having a more uniform thickness. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of polarizing film, a polyvinyl alcohol film is treated in order of swelling, dyeing, borating and water washing and uniaxial stretching is performed on the borating process and/or the prior process. Therein, a stainless steel grinding roller is used as at least one guide roller in treatment liquid on and after the dyeing. Further, the surface roughness of the stainless steel grinding roller is made to be 0.2 to 1.0 S and the coefficient of dynamic friction with the treatment film in water is made to be 0.1 to 0.4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
