摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of optimally and safely adjusting the focal point of an optical pickup even in a situation where the establishment of PLL synchronism is not guaranteed. SOLUTION: While varying the adjusted value of the focal point of an optical pickup, among focal points, a focal point where the amplitude of a reproduced RF signal is maximum and a focal point where the jitter amount of the reproduced RF signal is minimum are determined. When the focal point of the minimum jitter amount is within a permissible range set with the focal point of the maximum RF amplitude as a reference, the focal point of the minimum jitter amount is employed as an adjusting result.
