<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an upper deck structure that can be used as a scaffold for inspecting a cross deck back surface between hatches, in a bulk carrier. <P>SOLUTION: In the deck structure of the bulk carrier, the upper deck of the cross deck between the hatches is made to have double structure forming a space separated from the inside of a hold. A manhole for accessing to the inside of the space is provided on the upper deck surface of the cross deck part. A worker is enabled to enter/exit to/from the space through the manhole, and perform the maintenance and inspection of the upper deck back surface of the cross deck part from the space. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
