<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cold storage/thermal storage material that has increased cold storage/thermal storage effect and withstands use for many hours. <P>SOLUTION: The cold storage/thermal storage material 1 is obtained by mixing a cold storage/thermal storage agent 3 with 5-15 wt.% of a plurality of seeds 4. The cold storage/thermal storage agent 3 is constituted of biodegradable hydrogel obtained by irradiating a natural polymer material such as cellulose, starch, etc., with radiation. The seeds 4 are seeds of cherry or blueberry. The mixture of 5-15 wt.% of a plurality of the seeds (seeds having a closed air layer in the inside) in the cold storage/thermal storage agent increases the cold storage/thermal storage effect of the cold storage/thermal storage material.
