<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus realizing energy saving and the prolongation of the life of a polygon motor, and the reduction of noise caused by the wind whistle of a polygon mirror and also maintaining excellent image quality. <P>SOLUTION: The control part of a color printer outputs a main scanning image requiring signal (HSYNC_C/M/Y/K) designating the supply of image data of every write-in line to respective image forming parts for the respective image forming parts. It has a counting group for counting the HSYNC of the image forming part after starting image write-in at the image forming part for the respective image forming parts, and the start of the image write-in at the image forming part in top order is designated by setting the expiration of a 1st counter as a trigger. Then, the start of the image write-in at the image forming part in next order to the image forming part is designated by setting the expiration of 3rd/5th/7th counters for counting the main scanning image requiring signals in the respective image forming parts other than the image forming part in final order as a trigger. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
