PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave device and communication equipment including an unbalanced/balanced conversion function with which a degree of balancing can be enhanced. SOLUTION: Longitudinally coupling resonator type surface acoustic wave filtering elements 201, 202 having a plurality of interdigital electrode portions 207-209, 220-222 are provided respectively on a piezoelectric substrate 200 so as to have the unbalanced/balanced conversion function. Single-port surface acoustic wave resonators 801, 802 including interdigital electrode portions 803, 806 wherein a bus bar at one side is bisected, are provided while being connected to the surface acoustic wave filtering elements 201, 202. In the single-port surface acoustic wave resonators 801, 802, at least a set of their bisected bus bars 804, 805, 807, 808 is asymmetric. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
