A moulding material comprises a polyamide made from e -caprolactam or e -aminocaproic acid and at least 0.005% by weight based on the polyamide of a monohydric aliphatic alcohol containing 12 to 36 carbon atoms as the lubricant. Specified alcohols are dodecanol, tetradecanol and octadecanol. The Specification describes the use of the moulding material of the invention for making combs.
