The present invention relates to a dashboard with integrated airbag cover (1) that is reinforced with a solid and tough stiffener (3) being fixedly coupled with the cover (1), whereby a portion (3b) of the stiffener forming the cover (1) hinge (1) is lengthened and ends (4a, 4b) thereof are bent to form a hook for hooking with a clearance (5) on the fixed portion (2a) of a dashboard carrier (2) so that after separation of the cover (1) from the carrier (2) the whole cover (11) along with the stiffener (3) shifts upward above the level of the dashboard outer surface until the hook-formed ends (4a, 4b) lock into the dashboard carrier (2) fixed portion and prevent further upward movement of the cover (1), whereupon the airbag pressure, along with the cover (1) inertial movement causes tilt of the cover (1) out of the path of the airbag developing into the passenger space. |
