The device has a cover (7) permitting to cover or mask a crown (5) of a wrist-watch (1), by relative rotation of the crown. The cover is formed by an extension of a ring (21) that is mounted with greasy friction in an annular groove provided at the base of a middle. The ring is maintained in place by a washer comprising 4 mounting lugs extending under horns (17, 17a) of the middle for fixing the washer.
