<p>The surface treatment device (1) has a machining tool, e.g. an abrasive roller (3) and a cooperating suction device, providing a closed suction system for extraction of the removed surface material. A differential pressure switch (23) provides automatic shut-down of the surface treatment device when the pressure difference between the suction system and the outside air drops below a given value.
