<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the abnormality of a sensor by preventing the oversight of the abnormality before an accident occurs regarding an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a detecting function for independently confirming a plurality of sensor signals and abnormality signals in the image forming apparatus, and is provided with a state confirmation mode for confirming the entire signal information by which a plurality of detection are performed. In the state confirmation mode, the apparatus compares the information with default conditions indicating a preliminarily stored state in which the image forming apparatus should originally be, discriminates the abnormality states of each signal and performs display. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
