<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image detecting device for enhancing accuracy of a detecting image in this invention. <P>SOLUTION: A fingerprint sensor 20 forms a sensor surface 26 contacting with a fingertip 1 on an upper surface of a housing 22. A light irradiating part 28 composed of a light emitting diode, and a CCD image sensor 30 for receiving the reflected light F from the fingertip 1 contacted with the sensor surface 26, are installed in an inside space 25 of the housing 22. A light irradiating member 28 irradiates the light E from a position inclined by a predetermined angle on the side of the fingertip 1 contacted with the sensor surface 26, and the image sensor 30 is arranged so as to receive the reflected light F from the fingertip 1 from the direction inclined by the predetermined angle on the inverse side of the fingertip 1 contacted with the sensor surface 26. The image sensor 30 can detect a shadow 1c of a fingerprint made by the light irradiated from the oblique direction from the opposite side light irradiating member 28, and can clearly detect the contour of the fingerprint of the fingertip 1, for example, even in a wetted state of the fingertip 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
