PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for heat treatment of a copper alloy which improves bendability by refining the recrystallization structure of the copper alloy after the heat treatment, improves strength without impairing the bendability in subsequent working and improves electric conductivity. SOLUTION: In subjecting the copper alloy to the heat treatment, the copper alloy containing, by mass %, 0.1 to 1.0% in a total amount of at least one kind among 0.1 to 1.0% In, 0.1 to 0.5% Sn, 0.1 to 1.0% Mg, 0.1 to 0.6% Si, and consisting of the balance Cu and inevitable impurities, is subjecting to annealing, then to cold rolling at a≥70% reduction ratio.
