<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferritic stainless steel for a solid polymeric fuel cell separator which is less in elution of metal ions in spite of exposure to the high-humidity and acidic atmosphere in the cell and maintains low surface contact resistance for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The ferritic stainless steel for the solid polymeric fuel cell separator contains ≤0.020 mass% C, ≤0.50 mass% Si, ≤0.50 mass% Mn, ≤0.040 mass% P, ≤0.005 mass% S, ≤0.50 mass% Ni, 28 to 32 mass% Cr, 1.5 to 2.5 mass% Mo, over 0.80 mass% and ≤2.0 mass% Cu, 0.03 to 0.25 mass% Nb, 0.03 to 0.25 mass% Ti, over 0.2 mass% and ≤1.00 mass% Al, and ≤0.020mass% N, and satisfies ≤0.025 mass% C+N. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
