<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of adequately correcting a quantity of light even when an LED head unit is temporarily replaced. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus 1 is equipped with an exposure device 211 having a light emitting diode. The exposure device 211 has a first memory means 21a for storing information for correcting the quantity of light of the light emitting diode. The image forming apparatus 1 comprises a plurality of second memory means 21b, 21c for storing the information, a majority decision section 112 that compares the information stored in the first memory means with the information stored in the second memory means and selects the information that the number of memory means storing the identical information is the largest, a control means 114 for controlling whether or not the majority decision section 112 should be operated, and a correction section 21d that corrects the quantity of light of the light emitting diode by using the information selected by the majority decision section 112 when the majority decision section 112 is operated or by using the information stored in the first memory section 21a when the majority decision section 112 is not operated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
