PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sub-rack which reduces its height and facilitates a substrate unit discrimination when a substrate unit is inserted and pulled out. SOLUTION: The sub-rack comprises a sub-rack body in which a plurality of printed boards are inserted from a front face opening side for arranging and housing the printed board; a front panel 21 to which the printed board is mounted, and which has an end screwed to a front face opening of the sub-rack body; a screw hole which is provided at the end of the front panel, for penetrating the screw 35 for screwing; and a mounting plate which is provided on the ceiling face side of the front face opening of the sub-rack body, and in which a plurality of mounting part mounting the screw are arranged along a front face of the ceiling face. Discrimination information 37 discriminating the printed board 21 is attached to the vicinity of the mounting part of the mounting plate, a notch 27 is provided in a region at the end of the front panel corresponding to a position where the discrimination information 37 is attached, and the discrimination information 37 is visually recognized.
