PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio terminal unit comprising an antenna device capable of carrying out diversity without installing two or more antenna elements even in a radio terminal having only one ground conductor. SOLUTION: The portable radio terminal comprises a first ground conductor installed with a first electric/electronic circuit, an antenna element conductor connected with the first electric/electronic circuit at a feeding point, an electric short circuit point for connecting the antenna element conductor electrically with the first ground conductor, and a variable impedance circuit for connecting the antenna element conductor electrically with the electric short circuit point and capable of switching to a binary impedance or more.
