PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission apparatus including a high-grade security system by specifying a device that is operated illegally, prohibiting illegal operation, preventing a maintenance person from forgetting to cancel a log-in state, and setting a licensed user level for each command. SOLUTION: If the disconnection of a cable is detected in a port of one transmission apparatus on a network comprised of a plurality of transmission apparatuses each having a control terminal port for performing control at least upon the transmission apparatus, the state of performing log-in to the own or other transmission apparatus is canceled via the port.
