PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a porous microparticle, where the porous microparticle is easily manufacturable using a simple apparatus, its particle diameter is easily controllable, and a porous microparticle with a high porosity is easily obtainable. SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing, a precursor of the microparticle, a surfactant and a catalyst (or a surfactant with a catalytic action), and an inorganic salt are reacted in a solvent containing water to form a colloidal microparticle in which the surfactant is filled.
