<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a high performance MFP using a low cost SFP by connecting an SFP with an MFP controller integrating a scanner, a facsimile, and the like, to configure an MFP, when the SFP and the MFP are communalized. <P>SOLUTION: In order to serve as an interface for SFP and an interface for MFP (USB2.0/IEEE1394), the command system is switched to operate as the SFP if the partner is a common personal computer or a general purpose network scanner, and to cooperate as the MFP if the partner is an MFP controller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
